A trade expo for Bangladeshi products in Brazil

The Made in Bangladesh Expo brings Bangladeshi exporters to São Paulo to meet importers, wholesalers and distributors from Brazil and Latin America. It is organised by the Brazil Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BBCCI), a joint chamber based in Dhaka.

The first edition was held on 15–18 June 2025 at the Novotel São Paulo Center Norte, with exhibition stands, B2B matchmaking sessions and seminars in the programme. The second edition takes place on 22–25 March 2027 — four days — at Pro Magno Centro de Eventos in São Paulo's north zone.

BBCCI plans around 50 Bangladeshi stalls alongside selected Brazilian exhibitors, structured B2B matchmaking sessions and seminars on trade, investment, market entry, customs, logistics and industrial cooperation.

Brazil already buys from Bangladesh

Bangladesh has been Brazil's second-largest clothing supplier every year since 2018. Trade between the two countries reached about US$3 billion in 2025, most of it Brazilian cotton, sugar, grain and soy shipped to Bangladesh. The expo exists to put more Bangladeshi products in front of Brazilian buyers.

  1. Brazil already buys

Brazilian importers have bought Bangladeshi clothing at scale for years, mostly cotton trousers and shorts, T-shirts, pullovers and shirts.

  2. Room to grow

Outside garments, Bangladesh's share of Brazil's imports is still small — in home textiles, leather goods, footwear, plastics and food.

  3. Meet in São Paulo

The expo brings exporters and buyers together for four days, 22–25 March 2027, and BBCCI schedules structured B2B matchmaking sessions as part of the programme.

  4. Then orders and shipping

Orders follow the normal import route: a Brazilian importer, Portuguese labelling and customs clearance. By sea, Chattogram to Santos takes about 29 days port to port.

From Chattogram and Dhaka to Brazil

Most Bangladeshi goods reach Brazil by sea: in January–September 2026, 78% of Bangladesh's exports to Brazil travelled by sea and 22% by air. In 2025 the main entry points were the ports of São Francisco do Sul and Santos, followed by Itajaí and São Paulo/Guarulhos airport.

  • Sea: Chattogram → Santos, about 29 days port to port
  • Air: Dhaka → São Paulo/Guarulhos, about 3–7 days
